REQUEST A CAKE

We work with referral organisations who can request a birthday cake on behalf of families they know are experiencing hardship and will struggle to provide a cake for their child. This ensures our cakes are reaching the families who need us most. We do not accept self-referrals at this time. If you work with a child who won't get a birthday cake this year, we can help.

How to request a birthday cake
  1. Fill in the Cake Request Form. If you can't access this, then download a referral form (PDF) and fill in the details.

  2. Email it to hello@freecakesforkidssheffield.com.

  3. We'll contact our volunteers and arrange to make the cake. We'll then get in touch to confirm this, along with collection or delivery details.

Please give us as much notice as possible so we have time to bake!

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

  • Our volunteers sign up to strict hygiene and confidentiality standards. Our cakes are home-made by volunteers who bake and decorate cakes in their own homes to the very best of their ability.  Our cakes are made with love and care, but are rarely made by professional cake makers.

  • You must provide information about allergies before we agree to bake. We never use nuts, but can't guarantee nut-free cakes.

  • We will try to accommodate cakes that are vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, dairy-free and egg free. Please email us for our guidance on any halal cake requests.

  • In order to provide birthday cakes, information such as the child’s name and age will be shared with our team of baking volunteers. For more information, please read our data protection policy.
